Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule will continue a long tradition of performances in New Orleans on Friday, April 24 at the Saenger Theatre during Jazz Fest. NOLA’s own The Soul Rebels are aboard as support for what’s sure to be a special evening.

Pre-sale Tickets will be available tomorrow, January 21 at 10 a.m. CT through Mule Ticketing (UPDATE: The pre-sale has been delayed until further notice). A public on-sale will follow on January 23.

Gov’t Mule’s connection with New Orleans dates back to the band’s January 1996 Crescent City debut. The group returned the following September and then three times in a span of five months during 1997. Other standout Mule performances in NOLA include the “New School of Gov’t Mule show” with Dave Schools and Chuck Leavell in ’01, the first time the group played the Jazzfest Fairgrounds in 2002, the late night shows at the Orpheum and, of course, The Deepest End at The Saenger Theatre. Last year, Gov’t Mule was joined by over 30 guests at the Saenger.
