Gov’t Mule performed a rarely played cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” during their concert Thursday night. The show took place at Batschkapp in Frankfurt, Germany.
Currently in the midst of a European tour, Gov’t Mule offered two sets on Thursday with “Mr. Man” chosen by Warren Haynes to open the show. The first set also saw the often intertwined “Game Face” with The Allman Brothers Band’s “Mountain Jam,” as well as Mule favorites such as “Beautifully Broken” and “Thelonius Beck.”
The second set started with “Thorns Of Life,” “Trane” and “Monkey Hill.” Haynes and his band mates then lit into the Zeppelin III classic “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” a cover last played by the band in 2017. “Temporary Saint,” “Larger Than Life” and “Thorazine Shuffle” closed out the set and Robert Johnson’s “32-20 Blues” held down the encore slot.
