Goose Pressing New Year’s Eve 2022 Concert To Vinyl

Goose held their 2022 New Year's Eve concert at Cincinnati’s Andrew J Brady Music Center. Music from the “full spectrum” has been compiled for a vinyl release available now for pre-order and expected to ship in June.

2022.12.31 Cincinnati, OH spans four LPs and incorporates nearly three hours worth of music. “Mr. Action,” “Drive” and “Dr. Darkness” are the only songs played by the quintet in Cincinnati on New Year’s Eve that will not be included on the vinyl issue.

Goose kicked off their second of two nights in Cincinnati with a slow and melodic “All I Need.” The group then looked to their 2022 studio album, Dripfield, for “Borne” and “Hungersite.” Multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach‘s “Red Bird” came amid “Mr. Action” and “Drive” at the end of the first set.

The Connecticut-based outfit played a colorful second set in which lights were kept to black and white before a performance of “Auld Lang Syne” and the start of 2023. Highlights included a 22-minute “The Empress Of Organos,” the recently premiered original “Thatch” and a debut cover of David Gray’s “This Year’s Love” played sans drummer Ben Atkind and percussionist Jeff Arevalo.
