Goose will serve as the musical guest on an upcoming episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Connecticut-based quintet will take the stage at 30 Rock next Wednesday, December 7.
The late-night television program hosted by Jimmy Fallon airs on NBC weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT. Goose previously made their late-night television debut with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The group played “Hungersite” off their 2022 LP, Dripfield, on the November 1st episode of Kimmel.
The band’s second appearance on late-night television comes after multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach pointed out the similarly named act Geese draws smaller crowds to their shows yet was booked on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert earlier this year. “We were just confused as to why they got into late-night television when they’re playing 200-cap rooms,” Anspach told journalist Steven Hyden in an interview for an Uproxx profile. “Maybe we could drum up some smack with Stephen Colbert, because I would ask him that question.”
Goose recently completed an eight-show joint tour with the Trey Anastasio Band.
