Goose Shares The Caverns May 2021 Opening Show: Pro-Shot Video
By Nate Todd May 17, 2021 • 2:27 pm PDT

Goose shared pro-shot full show video of their Saturday, May 8 concert at The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheater in Pelham, Tennessee. The Connecticut jam quintet’s first of two concerts at The Caverns featured a number of memorable moments including an acoustic rendition of Paul Simon’s “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” in celebration of lighting designer Andrew Goedde’s 26th birthday.
The first set “Me & Julio” performance saw Rick Mitarotonda and Peter Anspach playing acoustic guitars on stage for the first time and featured Goedde showing off his whistling skills on the Paul Simon classic. The show also contained a “Jive” trilogy that began in the first set and carried into the second. Additionally, Goose unveiled their instrumental “Moby” for the first time in front of a crowd. The song appears on the band’s Ted Tapes 2021, a collection of live recordings from rehearsals and soundchecks.
