Goose’s Peter Anspach recently gave a full tour of his keyboard rig with JamBase contributor Ryan Storm. Peter and Ryan conducted the key world run-through ahead of Goose’s concert at The Met in Philadelphia on March 25.
Anspach starts with a look at his “main board,” the Nord Stage 3, which he mainly uses for piano but also utilizes a Wurlitzer patch along with the keyboard’s “layers” function. Next up, Anspach exhibits his Hohner Clavinet D6 as well as the pedals he runs it through.
Peter then talks his new Sequential Prophet 6 synthesizer as well as some of the previous synths he’s used, before giving a demonstration of what the Prophet 6 can do. Following some insight on the band’s in-ear monitor system, Anspach breaks down his Hammond organ and Leslie speaker combo and explains why he’s so fond of the Leslie control switch.
After shouting out Telefunken microphones, Pete moves over to his Vintage Vibe electric piano setup and his trusty Nord Lead synth, which he’s had “for a very long time with this band.” Peter wraps things up with a peek under the hood at his rack configuration, sort of the brain of his rig, as well as a quick look at the Fender Deluxe Reverb he runs his clav (and guitar) through. Anspach also shouts out the Goose crew for the tidy setup.
