UPDATE: Goose will perform on Kimmel next Tuesday, November 1.

Goose will make their late night television debut next week on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. The Connecticut-based jam quintet’s upcoming appearance was confirmed by a promo that aired during last night’s episode.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is filmed at the El Capitan Entertainment Center in Los Angeles. Musical guests occasionally perform extra songs for the audience and livestream viewers.

While Goose has yet to be featured on a nationally-broadcast late night television show, New York City-based rockers Geese appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last January. Multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach mused about why the similarly named act that draws smaller crowds to their shows was able to score the booking. “We were just confused as to why they got into late-night television when they’re playing 200-cap rooms,” Anspach told journalist Steven Hyden in an interview for an Uproxx profile. “Maybe we could drum up some smack with Stephen Colbert, because I would ask him that question.”

Goose and Trey Anastasio Band begin their joint fall tour in Portland, Maine on November 9. The eight-date trek runs through November 19. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
