Galactic contributed a cover of The Police’s “Walking On The Moon” to last month’s “Georgia Comes Alive” one-day virtual festival. The New Orleans-based band filmed a performance of the song from The Police’s Reggatta de Blanc album featuring vocalist Anjelika ‘Jelly’ Joseph at their Tipitina’s venue.

HeadCount and Live For Live Music put together “Georgia Comes Alive,” which aired on December 26, to promote participation in the Georgia Senate runoff elections on January 5. Galactic was among the 50+ acts featured in the marathon broadcast.

“Georgia Comes Alive” was watched by over one million people and generated more than $170,000 in donations for local grassroots organizations such as CivicGeorgia and Georgia Coalition For The People’s Agenda.
