The 18th annual Nederland Music and Arts Festival took place last weekend in Nederland, Colorado and featured a headlining Steve Kimock & Friends performance on the opening night of the three-day event. Video footage paired with soundboard audio of the ensemble’s entire Friday, August 25 NedFest performance featuring special guest keyboardist Jeff Chimenti has surfaced.

Billed as Steve Kimock & Friends, the rest of the band mirrored the K I M O C K lineup debuted earlier this year featuring the veteran guitarist alongside bassist Bobby Vega, drummer John Kimock and multi-instrumentalist Leslie Mendelson.

Longtime Kimock staple “High & Lonesome” opened the two-hour long set. Mendelson handled lead vocals on the rendition of “Variation” that followed. An extended take on “Ice Cream Factory” came ahead of a performance of “Careless Love” which Mendelson co-wrote and provided vocals. Later in the set Chimenti got to show off his Dead & Company chops with a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Crazy Fingers.” KVHW classic “5B4 Funk” and the familiar “Waiting For A Miracle” rounded out the headlining set.

Videographer evenstev captured the performance and paired it with soundboard audio in the video below:
