Full Show Audio: Umphrey’s McGee Concludes The Tabernacle 2017 Run

On Sunday night, Chicago jam-rockers Umphrey’s McGee concluded a series of three shows at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. The sextet’s first run of 2017 saw them dig deep into their repertoire and the finale was no different.
Umphrey’s McGee kicked off Sunday’s show with “Rocker Part 2” and “No Diablo” before taking the instrumental “Kabump” for a spin. “Kabump” gave way to “2nd Self” and a well-jammed version of rarity “#5.” One of the originals UM debuted during their recent New Year’s Run was “Cut Off” and the song saw action for the second time on Sunday ahead of a 14-minute “Utopian Fir” that closed the opening stanza.
Sunday’s second set started with fan favorite “Bright Lights, Big City” and a double dose of 2009’s Mantis in “Cemetery Walk” and “Cemetery Walk II.” Umphrey’s then dusted off their standout cover of “The Song Remains The Same” by Led Zeppelin after a 41 show layoff. A huge “1348” sequence complete with “In The Kitchen” and “Higgins” within closed the second set. For the encore, UM said farewell to the Atlanta faithful with “Pay The Snucka.” The six-piece returns to the road on Friday in Richmond.
