Fruition Teams With Members Of American Babies For Beatles Medley In Des Moines

On Sunday night, Portland roots-rockers Fruition played Wooley’s in Des Moines, Iowa featuring support from Tom Hamilton’s American Babies. The evening ended with a collaborative encore that included a medley from The Beatles’ Abbey Road.

Fruition’s set in Des Moines was heavy on songs from last year’s Labor Of Love including the title track, “Santa Fe,” “Falling On My Face” and more. The band also worked a portion of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall, Part Two” within “There She Was” and covered Bonnie Raitt’s “Love Sneakin’ Up On You.” Fruition welcomed Tom Hamilton and members of his band up for an encore of The Beatles’ “Sun King” > “Mean Mr. Mustard” > “Polythene Pam” > “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.” A soundboard recording of Fruition’s set and encore has surfaced and can be streamed below.
