Fruition Shares New Single ‘Northern Town’

Portland-based Fruition will release a new studio album Watching It All Fall Apart via LoHi Records on February 2. The band that just celebrated New Year’s Eve with a pair of hometown shows has shared the single “Northern Town” from the forthcoming LP.

Fruition recorded the 10-track new album with producer Tucker Martine. Premiered by American Songwriter, Fruition’s Mimi Naja described the writing process for “Northern Town” to the outlet, stating:

This tune was penned on a lonesome tour day, so the opportunity to trance out alone with the baritone guitar in the studio was fitting. Then, when the three-part harmony chorus hits, it provides a feel good sense of hope and “home” that was so hard to find on that cold, lonely day.

Naja and her band mates just played two shows at the Crystal Ballroom on December 30 and New Year’s Eve. The Lil Smokies opened both concerts and joined the headliners both nights as well. The band played new songs, including the previously issued Watching single “I’ll Never Sing Your Name.” The December 30 show also featured Bizarre Star Strings joining Fruition and the group welcomed Brad Parsons on the 31st.
