On Friday, August 2, Fruition took their talents to the ARISE Music Festival at Sunrise Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. During their set, the Portland, Oregon-based band was joined by members of Leftover Salmon for a celebratory collaboration on “Fire.”
“Fire” is the title track of a four-song EP that Fruition recorded during the same sessions that yielded the full-length Watching It All Fall Apart. For the rendition at ARISE, the band was joined by Leftover Salmon’s Andy Thorn and Vince Herman, plus Herman’s son Silas Herman. Thorn forewent his normal banjo, instead opting to play the violin for the collaboration. Meanwhile, Vince Herman was stationed with a washboard, while Silas Herman performed on an electric guitar.
