Frank Zappa Inca Roads Guitar Solo Supercut

Starting upon its debut in 1970 the song “Inca Roads” served as a centerpiece of many a Frank Zappa live performances. The composition is a whirlwind of complex time signatures leading to a blissful chord sequence that Zappa would solo over. Frank let his fingers fly as he would build the “Inca Roads” jam to a rolling boil not unlike what Trey Anastasio does with the “Reba” jam at Phish shows or moe. guitarist Chuck Garvey’s approach with “Buster.”

A creative Frank Zappa fan, br1tag, has put together an incredible two-hour clip containing portions of 19 different “Inca Roads” guitar solos. The supercut features portions of “Inca Roads” solos recorded between its 1970 debut and Zappa’s final tour in 1988. Take a listen:
