Foo Fighters will appear as the musical guest on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live with host Dave Chappelle. The performance will mark Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl‘s 14th appearance on the legendary late night program.

Grohl has graced the famed 30 Rock stage as the drummer for Nirvana, with Tom Petty and seven times with the Foo Fighters (once backing Mick Jagger). This week’s SNL play marks eight times total to date for FF. The last time Foo Fighters appeared on SNL, the band recalled their history with the program on a web segment titled “Creating: Saturday Night Live.” Grohl also shared his memories playing SNL with Nirvana, Jagger and Petty.

Foo Fighters are currently celebrating their 25th anniversary. Watch the Foo Fighters’ “Creating Saturday Night Live” video here.
