Folk Bitch Trio will issue their debut album, Now Would Be A Good Time, on July 25 through Jagjaguwar. The Melbourne/Naarm-based outfit previewed their first full-length release with the single, “Cathode Ray.”
Folk Bitch Trio is comprised of Gracie Sinclair, Jeanie Pilkington and Heide Peverelle, who met in high school. Pulling from disparate influences, they began making music together five years ago.
“[T]he chemistry of being inspired by each other was evident from the get-go,” Sinclair stated.
“We all talked about loving music when we were growing up, and knowing we wanted music to be a big part of our lives,” Pilkington said. “But for me at least, when I looked into the future, it was this relatively mysterious thing.”

The close-knit group recorded the 10-track effort with Tom Healy in late 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand. The album includes the previously shared lead single “The Actor.”
There are two upcoming chances to see Folk Bitch Trio in concert in the United States this year, in New York City on July 22 and in Los Angeles on July 24. Tickets are on sale now.
