Feist Covers Cat Stevens’ ‘Trouble’
“I think we all understand what’s at stake here,” Leslie Feist wrote in a note accompanying the video. “Please raise your hand, wait in line, navigate the labyrinth and vote. As an American living abroad, I entered the sudoku, Rubik’s cube, Lord of the Ringsian puzzle that is casting an absentee ballot. They don’t make it easy, but it’s ours! For hope, equality, love and community, please vote!
The video was directed by Ali Vanderkruyk and features Feist performing solo on acoustic guitar. “Trouble” originally appeared on the 1970 Cat Stevens album, Mona Bone Jakon, and again in the 1971 film Harold & Maude and its soundtrack.
