A new Father John Misty album entitlecd God’s Favorite Customer is due out on June 1 through Sub Pop Records and Bella Union. An official music video has been shared for the previously issued single “Mr. Tillman.”

Father John Misty’s Josh Tillman introduced the self-referencing song “Mr. Tillman” during a recent performance in Japan. Tillman appeared at the end of a mostly audio-only video of the track published earlier this year. The song is one of 10 new originals making up the follow-up to 2017’s Pure Comedy, which were “written largely in New York between Summer 2016 and Winter 2017.”

The fourth Father John Misty album was produced by Tillman with assistance from Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado, Dave Cerminara and Trevor Spencer. Tillman’s longtime collaborator (and Pure Comedy producer) Jonathan Wilson, Haxan Cloak, Weyes Blood’s Natalie Mering and members of the Father John Misty touring band also contributed to the forthcoming LP.

“Mr. Tillman” credits Tillman with providing tambourine, guitar, bass module and drums along with Jon Titterington who supplied piano, synth and glockenspiel. Watch the official music video for “Mr. Tillman” below:
