Eric Clapton Recruits John Mayer Trio, Robbie Robertson & More For 2023 Crossroads Guitar Festival Lineup
The event returns after a four-year hiatus on September 23 and 24 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

Eric Clapton announced the return of the Crossroads Guitar Festival for the first time since 2019. The seventh installment will take place September 23 and 24, 2023 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Slowhand enlisted an impressive and diverse array of guitar heroes for the two-night event with Clapton performing at each. Not all artists featured on the 2023 Crossroads Guitar Festival lineup will play both nights.

The John Mayer Trio — consisting of guitarist John Mayer, bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan — will perform together for just the second time since 2017. Mayer, Palladino and Jordan recently played a three-song set at the Love Rocks NYC 2023 benefit concert.
Robbie Robertson, Santana, Sheryl Crow, Del McCoury Band, ZZ Top, The War On Drugs, Stephen Stills, Molly Tuttle, Marcus King and Buddy Guy are also aboard for the 2023 Crossroads Guitar Festival. Others set to play at the two-night event include Gary Clark Jr., H.E.R., Sierra Hull, Taj Mahal, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Roger McGuinn, Jimmie Vaughan, John McLaughlin, Robert Randolph, Albert Lee and more.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 21. Only single-day tickets will be available.

The inaugural Crossroads Guitar Festival took place in Dallas in 2004. Chicago’s Toyota Park hosted the next two installments in 2007 and 2010 before the event took over Madison Square Garden in New York City in 2013. The most recent iteration was held at Dallas’ American Airlines Center in 2019. All profits and proceeds from the festival and auxiliary events will go towards the Clapton-founded Crossroads Centre at Antigua treatment and education facility for those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
