Eggy & Reid Genauer Perform Assembly Of Dust’s ‘Harrower’ In Colorado

Genauer came back for the evening’s encore after playing an opening solo set.

Eggy brought singer-songwriter Reid Genauer (Strangefolk/Assembly Of Dust) along as an opener for a pair of shows in Colorado, which began last Friday at 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco. Eggy invited Genauer back for that evening’s encore, which saw him lead the band’s first-time performance of Assembly Of Dust’s “Harrower.”

Eggy keyboardist Dani Battat introduced Genauer before summoning him to the stage at the start of the encore. Battat then dedicated the ensuing performance to Vintage Pistol guitarist Walt Blythe, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Genauer played acoustic guitar and sang lead on “Harrower.” The song appeared on the 2005 Assembly Of Dust live album, The Honest Hour.

Friday’s show in Frisco also saw Eggy bust out their rarely-played original “Maybe There’s A Reason” for the first time publicly since 2019. Watch Friday’s full concert featuring the collaborative performance of “Harrower” (beginning at 03:01:48) in the video below:
