Last night The Disco Biscuits made their second appearance at this year’s Great North Music & Arts Festival at Hemond Farms in Minot, Maine. The quartet’s headlining set featured special guests Ed Mann and Scotty Zwang sitting-in.

“Reactor” started the first set Saturday and dropped into the recently debuted original “The Champions” and “Mr. Don” before heading back to conclude the opener. The four song first half came to close with a rendition “Magellan.”

The second set began with Frank Zappa’s “Pygmy Twylyte” featuring Zappa Band alumnus Ed Mann adding his signature mallet percussion to the regularly performed cover. A take on “House Dog Party Favor” followed after Mann turned the stage back over to tDB. From there the foursome went into “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line” and transitioned into “Tricycle” that saw now former Dopapod drummer Scotty Zwang sit-in before the band returned to “Conga Line” to end the set. “Home Again” made up the encore as they brought the headlining performance to an end.
