Dry Cleaning shared a pair of previously unreleased songs recorded during sessions for their sophomore album, Stumpwork, which came out last year. The two tracks appear on the band’s forthcoming EP, Swampy, set for release through 4AD on March 31.

Regarding the Stumpwork outtakes, the newly shared “Swampy” and “Sombre Two,” the band stated:

“These two songs (‘Swampy’ and ‘Sombre Two’) were recorded in the Stumpwork sessions and they feel like good companions to us. They share a dusty, desolate and spacey atmosphere. On the eve of this release we have been touring through the Southwest U.S., where these songs feel at home in the arid, Mars-like landscape of the Arizona desert.”

The forthcoming EP also features Stumpwork remixes of the track “Hot Penny Day” by Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul and “Gary Ashby” by Nourished By Time. Rounding out the collection is a demo of song entitled “Peanuts.”
