Drive-By Truckers’ Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley delivered a Live Virtual Session for Minnesota public radio station The Current. The video sees the singer-songwriters chatting with host Bill DeVille and performing songs from their 2020 album, The Unraveling, and more.
After talking with DeVille, Hood and Cooley — who perform individually — get into the music about six minutes in with the Patterson-penned “21st Century USA” from The Unraveling. Next up Cooley throws his Unraveling contribution, “Grevience Merchants,” into the ring followed by Hood’s new song “Quarantine Together,” which arrived last week with an at-home video from DBT. Cooley closes out the music section with “Eyes Like Glue,” the closing track on DBT’s 2010 album The Big To-Do.
