Donna Jean Godchaux To Take Part In Reddit Ask Me Anything Session

The Grateful Dead subreddit on Reddit has hosted a number of luminaries from the band’s orbit over the past few months for Ask Me Anything Q&A sessions including Terrapin Family Band/Midnight North guitarist Grahame Lesh, monitor mixer Harry Popick and biographer/publicist Dennis McNally. Later this month, the subreddit will give fans a chance to ask former band member Donna Jean Godchaux anything.

Donna Jean was a member of the Grateful Dead from 1972 and 1979, along with her husband at the time, keyboardist Keith Godchaux. The vocalist’s career dates back to the ’60s, when she was a session singer at Muscle Shoals in her native Alabama. In the late ’00s, she formed the Donna Jean Godchaux Band but has stepped out of the spotlight recently outside of a series of 2016 appearances with Dead & Company.
