Dogs In A Pile headlined Oktoberfest at The Vortex in Catonsville, Maryland on Saturday. DIAP welcomed fellow festival performer Rob Compa to add guitar to a Stevie Wonder cover.
Dogs In A Pile launched their Oktoberfest set with “Didn’t Ya Know?” followed by two nearly 10-minute renditions of “Little Things” and “Four More Days.” The band then paired up substantial versions of “Nicolette” and “Writing on the Wall” before taking staple “Look Johnny” deep.

Dogs In A Pile and Compa ripped through “Boogie On” before getting into a a 20-minute jam that saw Rob and DIAP guitarist Jimmy Law trading licks. Check out a clip below:
DIAP then went it alone for a cover of Bob Nolan’s 1941 country tune “Cool Water.” The main set came to a close with another big excursion on “Thomas Duncan Pt. 3.” Dogs returned to encore with “Mr. Tooker.”
