This Wednesday, IFC premieres the long awaited episode of Bill Hader and Fred Armisen’s Documentary Now! featuring a riff on the famed Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense. Today, a handful of clips previewing the episode have surfaced.
In the episode Armisen and Hader are part of Test Pattern, a fictional band based on the Talking Heads. Fred and Bill’s former Saturday Night Live cast mate Maya Rudolph also appears in Wednesday’s episode, most of which was filmed at a taping in July. Last month Test Pattern performed on an installment of Late Night With Seth Meyers.
The previews shared today include a trailer for this week’s episode of Documentary Now!, a bit of a Last Waltz style interview segment and Talking Heads members Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz watching and reacting to the parody:
