Actor/musician Joe Keery is on tour in support of his recently released Djo album, The Crux, which the Stranger Things co-star released earlier this month. Last night’s tour stop at History in Toronto featured Keery’s fellow Stranger Things castmate Finn Wolfhard sitting in with Keery’s band Djo.
Djo is touring with Keery’s former band Post Animal, who were also brought onstage with Wolfhard at the end of Tuesday’s concert. Keery recently joined his former bandmates to record a new studio album, IRON, which comes out July 25.
Wolfhard played guitar and fronted the defunct band Calpurnia. The multihyphenate artist then formed The Aubreys with Calpurnia drummer Malcolm Craig.
Tuesday’s setlist largely focused on songs from The Crux, Keery’s third Djo album and the follow-up to 2022’s Decide. Wolfhard and Post Animal were summoned for the final song of the concert, assisting on an encore performance of “Flash Mountain” from the 2019 debut Djo album, Twenty Twenty. Wolfhard started out singing through a megaphone and then was handed Keery’s guitar to finish off the song.
