The Disco Biscuits debuted a new song, “Twisted In The Road,” on Saturday night at their City Bisco 2022 event in Philadelphia. The debut came in the second set after the band’s first set was cut short due a power outage on stage at TD Pavilion at The Mann.

The band kicked off their first set of City Bisco 2022 with “Spacebirdmatingcall,” leaving the long-standing original unfinished. Guitarist Jon Gutwillig, bassist Marc Brownstein, keyboardist Aron Magner and drummer Allen Aucoin then transitioned into “Another Plan Of Attack.” The power on stage at The Mann had another plan of its own, as it went out during the fourth performance of the recently premiered new song. The foursome left the stage, taking an early set break to address the power failure.

With power restored, Bisco returned to the stage and picked up “Another Plan Of Attack” where it had been unexpectedly cut off. Once it was completed, the band moved into an inverted version of “Crickets.” Next came the first public performance of “Twisted In The Road,” adding to the list of new original songs the Disco Biscuits have recently debuted.

The quartet then segued into the classic “Digital Buddha,” which led into the new song, “Who’s In Charge,” making just its third setlist following its recent debut. Another newcomer, “Tourists (Rocket Ship),” found its way onto its second Bisco setlist before a return to finish the earlier-started “Digital Buddha.”

City Bisco 2022 continues tonight at TD Pavilion at The Mann in the band’s hometown of Philadelphia. Hear a bit of “Twisted In The Road” in the clip below:
