The Disco Biscuits wrapped a two-night run at the Mission Ballroom in Denver on Saturday. After unveiling a cover of Dead Or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” on Friday, the band dusted off another ‘80s hit,’ “The Safety Dance,” for night two.
Bisco kicked off the first set on Saturday with “The Safety Dance” bust out, led by guitarist Jon “The Barber” Gutwillig who was celebrating his birthday. The last tDB iteration of the song off Men Without Hats’ 1982 album Rhythm of Youth came on November 20, 2021 at The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee for a total gap of 75 shows, as per Phantasy Tour.

Following an 11-minute “Miracles,” The Disco Biscuits embarked on a massive “Who’s In Charge” sandwich — which included “Sweating Bullets,” “The Wormhole,” “Shadow” and a 12-minute inverted “Home Again” — to close the seamless set.
Also a continuous affair, the second frame got underway with a 15-minute “Times Square” before tDB took “Mindless Dribble” to the 20-minute mark. Next, “Morph Dusseldorf” (inverted) and “Twisted In The Road” saw substantial jams ahead of an inverted “And The Ladies Were The Rest Of The Night.” Another 20-minute excursion on “I-Man” brought the second set to a close. Bisco wrapped the evening and Mission run with “Spaga’s Last Stand” and “Rock Candy” for the encore.
