The Disco Biscuits welcomed Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch on Saturday during their second of two headlining performances at the North Beach Music Festival. Deitch joined the band for an inverted Bisco classic toward the end of their slot at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach, Florida.
The Disco Biscuits — bassist Marc Brownstein, guitarist Jon Gutwillig, keyboardist Aron Magner and drummer Allen Aucoin — kicked off their last NBMF set with the relatively new original “Spaga’s Last Stand” before heading into “Tricycle.” The quartet finished up “Spaga’s Last Stand” to wrap the seamless set opening sequence.

Bisco then embarked on a massive “Mindless Dribble” which stretched to nearly 28 minutes ahead of a 25-minute excursion on “Who’s In Charge?” off the band’s 2023 record Shocked! Adam Deitch — who was on hand at NBMF with The Adam Deitch Quartet and also delivered a producer set — then hopped behind Aucoin’s kit for tDB classic “Confrontation,” which the collab took inverted for a nearly 21-minute ride.
Next, Allen returned and Bisco went it alone for a bust out cover of LCD Soundsystem’s “Tribulations,” last time played on December 30, 2021 in the band’s hometown of Philadelphia for a total gap of 119 shows. “Spacebirdmatingcall” brought the tDB’s Saturday NBMF headlining slot to a close.
