Desert Daze Pauses Festival Until 2024 & Announces New Concert Series With Les Claypool & More

Organizers of Southern California’s Desert Daze are pausing the festival until 2024. Desert Daze will celebrate its community in October 2023 with the Daze In The City concert series featuring Les Claypool‘s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and more.

“After careful thought and consideration, Desert Daze organizers have decided to take a year off from the event at Lake Perris and return in 2024, using the extra time to ensure an experience that surpasses expectations for many years to come,” a press release stated on the Desert Daze pause.

The festival heads back to Moreno Beach at Lake Perris, CA from October 10 – 13, 2024. Those with 2023 presale tickets can roll them over to 2024 or request a refund via See Tickets.

The Daze In The City concert series gets underway with The Black Angels, The Dandy Warhols and DAIISTAR on October 10 at the Bellwether in Los Angeles. The same lineup will then perform at the Glass House in Pomona, California on October 11. Another Daze In The City event with W.H. Lung + Guests will take place at The Echo in Los Angeles On October 11.

On October 12 Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade will perform at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, California. Additional October 12 performances by Blonde Redhead and Acid Mother’s Temple will go down in L.A. while Ulrika Spacek, Holy Wave and DAIISTAR will perform in Santa Ana.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Melody’s Echo Chamber are set for The Bellwether in L.A. on October 13. Melody’s Echo Chamber will then join Blonde Redhead at Riverside’s Fox Performing Arts Center on October 14. Daze In The City wraps on October 15 with MELTT + Guests at Gold Diggers in L.A.
