Deer Tick To Celebrate 10th Anniversary At Brooklyn Bowl

Indie-rockers Deer Tick will celebrate their 10th anniversary during a six-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl in NYC that begins on December 26 and runs through New Year’s Eve. The band has also revealed a particularly cool format for the run.

Each night for December 26 -30, Deer Tick will perform one of their favorite bands’ albums in its entirety and will follow that up with a set of original material. For the New Year’s Eve finale, the band will perform a set in which fans pick every song they will play. Today’s announcement also mentions “there will be many friends, special guests and great bands joining the party each night.

Deer Tick’s album choices are Lou Reed’s Transformer, The Beatles’ Meet The Beatles, NRBQ’s Tiddlywinks, Elvis Costello’s My Aim Is True and Devo’s Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! as well as their own War Elephant LP. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, September 12 at 12 p.m. ET.

Here’s a rundown of what to expect each night:

12/26 performing NRBQ -Tiddlywinks + Deer Tick: War Elephant and special guests

12/27 performing Lou Reed -Transformer + Deer Tick songs and special guests

12/28 performing The Beatles -Meet The Beatles + Deer Tick songs and special guests

12/29 performing Devo -Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! + Deer Tick songs and special guests

12/30 performing Elvis Costello -My Aim Is True + Deer Tick songs and special guests

12/31 performing an all fan chosen Deer Tick Set + special guests
