Deer Tick Announces Newport Folk Fest Late Night Guests

Providence quintet Deer Tick will reprise their yearly Newport Folk Festival after-shows this weekend in Rhode Island. Today, the band has announced their guests for the three-night stand at Newport Blues Cafe.

On Friday night, Deer Tick will be joined by Langhorne Slim and Bobby Bare, Jr. Then, on Saturday, the indie-rockers welcome Justin Townes Earle and Jason Isbell. Finally, on Sunday, The Felice Brothers will appear at Newport Blues Cafe with Deer Tick.

Also of note, on Sunday night Deer Tick will debut their brand new record, Negativity, live in its entirety. Negativity is due for a September 24th release. The band’s front man, John McCauley, will perform at the fest itself on Friday afternoon at 6:10 p.m.
