Deep Roots Mountain Revival Festival Announces Lineup Additions

The inaugural Deep Roots Mountain Revival Festival will take place on the legendary Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, West Virginia September 15 – 18. Today, festival organizers followed-up on the initial lineup announcement with the addition of a handful of acts including a Grateful Dead tribute.

Jamey Johnson, Blackberry Smoke, Corey Smith, Love & Theft, Rising Appalachia, The Marcus King Band and Zach Nugent’s Dead Set have all been added to the lineup for the first-ever Deep Roots Mountain Revival. Vermont guitarist Zach Nugent will be joined by Melvin Seals (Melvin Seals & JGB), Russ Lawton (Trey Anastasio Band, Soule Monde), Tony Markellis (Trey Anastasio Band), Vinnie Amico (moe.) and Colin Lenox (Dead Set) for the Dead Set at DRMR. Acts reveealed today will join headliners Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon and The David Grisman Sextet as well as Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Shooter Jennings with Waymore’s Outlaws, Melvin Seals & JGB, Cabinet, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Black Lillies, The Hip Abduction and many others at the new festival. Marvin’s Mountaintop is best known as the original site of the All Good Music & Arts Festival.

Advance price three-day passes go up for grabs tomorrow (Tuesday, May 3) at 10 a.m. ET. Once the limited number of advance tickets are sold out, the price will increase. VIP packages will also be available. Head to the festival’s website for additional ticketing details.
