Dean Ween Says Ween Aims To Play 100 Different Songs In Colorado

While the members of Ween haven’t spoken much about their upcoming reunion shows with the press, guitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo has discussed the three-night stand at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado with Ween fans on the Ween Appreciation Society Facebook page. Deaner posted an image showing a list of text files which seem to be the setlists for each of the group’s February 12 – 14 performances. When a fan asked if there would be any repeats, the guitarist answered “nope.” He went on to write, “I count 94 songs w no requests taken into consideration.”

Melchiondo has also posted footage from Ween’s rehearsal sessions in New Hope, Pennsylvania to the Facebook fan group. Deaner has always been an active member of the group and that hasn’t changed with the upcoming reunion. When he was pushed about what the “no requests” part was all about, Mickey added “WE ALWAYS TAKE REQUESTS! MY POINT WAS THAT WITH THE REQUESTS WE WILL EASILY BEST 100 TUNES.” Marathon performances featuring dozens of tunes were always a hallmark of Ween’s live shows and we’re glad to see that trend will continue when Ween takes the stage for the first time since 2012 in just eight days.
