If Dead & Company are truly done touring, they out big both musically and financially. The tally is in from The Final Tour and the figures are staggering. Billboard reports the band grossed $114.7 million with 845,000 tickets sold for the run’s 28 shows.

One element that might obscure the figures is that Billboard’s article pegs the number of shows for The Final Tour as 28. However, the band — consisting of Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart and Bob Weir joined by John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, Jay Lane and Oteil Burbridge — played 29 shows between May 19 and July 16. Regardless, each show brought in a ton of dough for Dead & Company.

Dead & Company weren’t the only beneficiaries of The Final Tour’s success. Participation Row auctions brought in $2,032,520 this summer. All past Dead & Co. tours combined raised $1,969,664 from 2015 – 2022. Sunday’s show alone saw Deadheads donate over $700,00 to HeadCount, Reverb and other Dead Family non-profits.

Last Sunday, Dead & Company wrapped The Final Tour in San Francisco with their third of three nights at Oracle Park. The sextet grossed $24.4 million in San Francisco, which was the top-selling run of Dead & Co.’s eight years together. Yet the band actually sold more tickets at Boulder’s Folsom Field over the Fourth of July Weekend.

The $114.7 millon grossed by The Final Tour beats the band’s past highest total of the $53.7 million brought in during Fall Tour 2021. All told, Dead & Company earned $455.9 million from their 212 concerts with 4.1 million tickets sold. Head to Billboard for additional figures.
