While Dead & Company have just two stops and five shows left on The Final Tour, it may not be the last we see of the Grateful Dead offshoot. Grateful Dead/Dead & Company drummer Mickey Hart left the door open for more performances from the sextet during a recent interview with ABC Audio.
“Who knows what the next page is, we’re just turning the page,” Mickey Hart explained to ABC Audio. “It’s not final anything. We never said we’ll never play again, but we’ll never tour again.”
Hart went on to say if the upcoming shows at Oracle Park in San Francisco are indeed the end of the line for Dead & Company, he’s okay with it. “Some things, good things, they come to an end and it’s really good to put a period on it and then move on,” Mickey added.

Bill Kreutzmann Will Not Join Dead & Company For The Final Tour
Last September, Dead & Company announced they would embark on their final tour in the summer of 2023. Dates for the lengthy trek were revealed 10 days later. Then, this past April, drummer Bill Kreutzmann departed Dead & Co.
Hart and GD bandmate Bob Weir hit the road with bassist Oteil Burbridge, drummer Jay Lane, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and guitarist John Mayer on May 19. The 19-city run continues through July 16, the third of three nights at Oracle Park.
Tickets for each Oracle Park show as well as two nights at The Gorge in Washington state this Friday and Saturday are sold out. Watch all five concerts via nugs.net livestreams.
