Dawes brought their current tour to Salt Lake City for a concert at The Commonwealth Room on Thursday night. The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers joined the band on “A Little Bit of Everything” and a cover of Johnny Cash’s “I Came To Believe.”

Flowers, a part-time Utah resident, dropped in on Dawes’ concert one night after Greensky Bluegrass’ Paul Hoffman sat in with the band in Denver. The Killers’ vocalist first emerged at the end of Thursday’s first set to help sing “A Little Bit Of Everything.” The song was the final track on Dawes’ 2011 sophomore album, Nothing Is Wrong, which the band played in its entirety at their show in Witchita earlier this week.

The second set started with Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith performing a solo acoustic rendition of “King of the Never Wills,” a new song that has yet to be recorded. Flowers then came back out to join Goldsmith on “I Came To Believe” and made it past a mishap with the song’s lyrics. Drummer Griffen Goldsmith was also part of the collaboration, adding backing vocals to the Cash cover.
