A new trailer has been posted for the upcoming CD/DVD release David Gilmour: Live At Pompeii. The new clip features the Pink Floyd guitarist discussing the two concerts Gilmour staged in July 2016 at Pompeii Amphitheatre in Italy, which was the same venue Pink Floyd recorded the Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii concert film 45 years before.

David Gilmour: Live At Pompeii was directed and shot in 4K by Gavin Elder and will be shown in more than 2,000 cinemas around the world on September 13 (participating theaters are listed here). The 148-minute concert film will be released as a DVD/Blu-Ray package on September 29 and will include a seven-minute companion documentary by Elder entitled Pompeii Then And Now. The Deluxe Blu-Ray box set also features an additional 207 minutes of bonus footage culled from 11 live performances and five documentaries.

The newly shared trailer features David Gilmour discussing the performance of rarities “The Great Gig In The Sky” and “One Of These Days.” He also touches on the improvisation he incorporated into the concerts, his conception of perfection as it relates to performing live and more.
