David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash appeared on CBS Sunday Morning. The legendary trio discussed recording the landmark 1970 Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album Déjà Vu and more.

Déjà Vu arrived on March 11, 1970 and a 50th anniversary edition was recently released. Although Déjà Vu came at a particularly turbulent time not only for the band but also the world, it is considered one of the greatest rock albums of all time.

“There’s masterpieces in there. Ain’t a dog in the bunch!” Stills said of the record. CBS This Morning’s Dave Mason also asked Crosby if he was aware of the gravity of the album from the beginning.

“Yeah,” he said. “Yeah, we knew. When you hear ‘Carry On,’ you know what you heard!” But Graham Nash also noted the rockier side of recording the lauded LP.

“‘Déjà Vu was intense, tragic in many ways,” Nash recalled. “But a really decent album.”
