Trampled by Turtles frontman Dave Simonett shared the single, “In The Western Wind And The Sunrise,” from his upcoming new solo album, Red Tail. Thirty Tigers will issue Red Tail on March 13 and Simonett confirmed tour dates in support of its release.

After previously putting out two solo albums under his Dead Man Winter moniker, including Furnace in 2017 and Bright Lights in 2011, Red Tail is Simonett’s first LP released under his own name. Half of the eight tracks on Red Tail were recorded by Simonett alone at his studio in Minneapolis. A number of collaborators joined Simonett at Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, Minnesota to record the additional four songs on the album.

Simonett will embark on a tour in support of Red Tail shortly after its release. Backed by a full band, Simonett will set out on March 19 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota followed by stops in Chicago (March 26), Cincinnati (March 27), Nashville (March 28), Atlanta (March 29), Asheville, North Carolina (March 30), Washington D.C. (April 1), Philadelphia (April 2), New York City (April 3), Providence, Rhode Island (April 4) and Boston (April 5). Simonett will also appear at the Bluebird Music Festival in Boulder, Colorado on April 16 and 18, with a show in Denver on April 17 and in Fort Collins on April 19. Simonett will play another home state show on May 9 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
