Watch Dave Simonett Perform For The Current’s ‘Minnesota Sessions’

The Duluth-based guitarist played three solo cuts at different locations within the gorgeous Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center.

Trampled by Turtles guitarist Dave Simonett recorded a three-song set for The Current’s new Minnesota Sessions video series. The Minnesota Public Radio station shared video featuring the session on YouTube.

Minnesota Sessions sees local musicians performing at scenic natural locations throughout the state. Duluth’s Dave Simonett played his solo acoustic set at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, Minnesota. The site hosts a number of outdoor camps, classes and activities that help stimulate an interest in nature for its students.

Dave Simonett performed three songs he released over the past two years at various parts of Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. First, Simonett sang “The Sun Of Yeah” from his 2021 EP Orion while riding in a canoe.

Next, Dave stuck with Orion for a rendition of “The High Road” filmed on a river bank. Finally, the musician played “Pisces, Queen Of Hearts” from his 2020 full-length solo album Red Tail on a lakeside cliff.
