Dave Matthews Band Welcomes Ron Blake In Arkansas

The latest stop on Dave Matthews Band‘s extensive summer tour took place on Wednesday night at Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers, Arkansas. DMB welcomed their second guest of the tour, as saxophonist Ron Blake emerged to sit-in on a pair of songs.
Last night’s concert began the way most of the group’s shows have this summer, with a song from the soon-to-be-released studio album Come Tomorrow. On Wednesday, DMB went with the title track. The septet then dug back for fan-favorites “Don’t Drink The Water,” “Satellite,” “Hello Again” and “Tripping Billies.” Next up was Come Tomorrow single “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin).” The recently revived “Louisiana Bayou” followed.

Later in the night DMB was joined by Ron Blake for “What Would You Say” and “Lying In The Hands Of God.” Blake is best known as a member of the Saturday Night Live Band and his work with Christian McBride. The saxophonist took a fierce solo during “What Would You Say” and added subtle layers to “Lying In The Hands Of God.” Matthews & Co. wound up treating fans in Arkansas to a 19-song main set. The evening’s only tour debut came in the encore slot, as DMB ended the night with the run’s first “Stay (Wasting Time).”
Next up for DMB is a Friday night show in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
