Dave Matthews Band rolled out official audio featuring “Stay (Wasting Time)” from their next Live Trax live archival set. Live Trax Vol. 55, currently available for pre-order in multiple formats ahead of its release on April 27, contains the group’s April 29, 2009 show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta, Georgia.
“Stay (Wasting Time)” was the last song DMB performed in Alpharetta on April 29, 2009. Dave Matthews wrote “Stay (Wasting Time)” for inclusion on the group’s 1998 studio album, Before These Crowded Streets. While DMB bassist Stefan Lessard and late multi-instrumentalist LeRoi Moore share songwriting credits on the LP, Matthews is listed as the sole author on later live releases as per DMB Almanac.

Live Trax Vol. 55 features the second night of a two-show run at the Atlanta area venue. DMB was on the road in support of Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King, a studio album that came out five weeks after the concert and was the band’s first after Moore’s passing. Highlights include “Rhyme & Reason” featuring special guest Joe Lawlor on guitar, the live debut of “Beach Ball” and a rare, full band take on “Rye Whiskey.”
