Dave Matthews Band continues to roll out official video from their last trek across Europe to build excitement for the group’s upcoming European Tour. The latest clip is a performance of the oldie “Minarets” filmed at Annexet in Stockholm, Sweden on March 19, 2019.
The 19-date, 14-country Spring 2024 European Tour marks the group’s first trip across the Atlantic in five years. Dave Matthews Band begins the excursion on April 2 in Amsterdam. This time around, the octet will perform at Stockholm’s Cirkus on April 8. Other stops include Cologne, Oslo, Prague, London, Paris and several additional cities. The tour will conclude in Lisbon on May 5.

Dave Matthews Band’s first known performance of “Minarets” took place on September 20, 1991 at Trax in Charlottesville, Virginia — the venue where the group kicked off their career just over six months prior. A studio version was released on the band’s Remember Two Things album in 1993. “Minarets” and “Seek Up” were the only studio cuts on the 10-track (mostly) live LP.
Frontman Dave Matthews delivered an improvised “scat” introduction on the Stockholm “Minarets.” Drummer Carter Beauford chimes in with lyrics from Run D.M.C.’s “Slow And Low” before the full band launches into the Arabian-tinged song. “Minarets” fell in the five-slot at Annexet on March 19, 2019.
