Dave Matthews Band returned to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio’s Blossom Music Center on Friday night. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers fit a surprise into the setlist, as they performed “Dive In” for the first time in nearly four years.
DMB began the show with a run of tour debuts that included the rarity off their 2009 album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. “The Song That Jane Likes,” “Big Eyed Fish,” “Bartender,” “Satellite,” “Busted Stuff” and “Crush” all saw action for the first time on the recently launched trek before “Dive In” on Friday. The bust out was followed by additional tour debuts — “Say Goodbye” and “The Only Thing.”

An early “All Along The Watchtower” kept Dave Matthews Band’s lengthy set at the Cleveland area shed rolling. It was then back to tour debuts for “Come On Come On,” “Minarets” and “The Ocean And The Butterfly.” From there, trumpeter Rashawn Ross led the band on a cover of Cameo’s “Word Up!” ahead of the pairing of “The Space Between” and “You Might Die Trying.”
Dave Matthews Band uncorked a raucous “Tripping Billies” to punctuate the set. The oldie hadn’t been played as a closer since September of 2022. Frontman Dave Matthews emerged for his newest song, “Peace On Earth,” to start an encore that ended with a full-band “Warehouse.”
