There’s been lots of talk about Spotify lately after pop star Taylor Swift pulled her catalog from the free/premium hybrid subscription streaming service. The latest musician to weigh in is none other than Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl, who shares an interesting, expletive-filled opinion on the debate.

As pointed out by Consequence of Sound, Grohl spoke about Spotify in a new interview with DigitalSpy. “I want people to hear our music, I don’t care if you pay $1 or f**king $20 for it, just listen to the f**king song. But I can understand how other people would object to that,” Grohl said. Like many bands within the jam scene, Foo Fighters’ bread and butter is their live shows. “Me personally? I don’t f**king care. That’s just me, because I’m playing two nights at Wembley next summer,” Grohl told DigitalSpy.

“You want people to f**king listen to your music? Give them your music. And then go play a show. They like hearing your music? They’ll go see a show. To me it’s that simple, and I think it used to work that way,” Grohl added. The latest episode of Foo Fighters’ Sonic Highways debuts on HBO tonight.
