Dark Star Orchestra Confirms June 2021 Concerts In Chicago

Dark Star Orchestra will perform a pair of drive in style concerts this June at the site of the final Grateful Dead shows. The band announced concerts at the South Parking lot of Chicago’s Soldier Field on Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12.
Chicago holds a special place in DSO’s heart as the city birthed the band. Dark Star Orchestra’s first public performance took place in Chicago on November 11, 1997 and the group has played 2,997 shows since.

Dark Star Orchestra also revealed a special twist for their upcoming shows in Felton, California May 7 – 9. Guitarist Jeff Mattson will use Jerry Garcia’s “Alligator” guitar, while bassist Skip Vangelas will play Phil Lesh’s “Mission Control” bass.
A pre-sale for tickets to the Chicago concerts begins this Thursday, April 29 at 10 a.m. CT. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 30 at 10 a.m. CT.
