Dark Star Orchestra Announces 2018 Summer Tour

Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra has revealed a batch of summer headlining appearances. The band’s 2018 Summer Tour is currently set to span from June 22 through August 16 with word additional dates will be announced soon.
DSO begins the tour at Humphrey’s Concerts By The Bay in San Diego on June 22. From there, the group plays a number of additional dates in California: Ojai on June 23, Carmel-By-The-Sea on June 24, Petaluma on June 27, Sacramento on June 28 and Berkeley on June 29 and 30. Dark Star Orchestra will then make their Red Rocks debut on July 8, when they will perform the Grateful Dead show that took place 40 years to the day prior in its entirety.
The tour picks back up with two nights at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on July 27 and 28. Dark Star then plays Portland, Maine on July 29 and Rochester’s Frontier Field on August 3 ahead of a visit to Jay, Vermont on August 4. Next up is a visit to East Providence on August 5 and an acoustic show at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut on August 8.
Dark Star Orchestra plays Ford Amphitheatre At Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn on August 10. The tour is currently set to conclude with a stop in Asbury Park on August 11, two nights in Dewey Beach, Delaware spanning August 13 – 14 and a performance in Glen Allen, Virginia on August 16.
