Daft Punk To Appear On The Colbert Report

French dance-pop duo Daft Punk haven’t done much televised press stateside to support the recent release of Random Access Memories, but according to a report from the Colbert News Hub that will soon change.

On Monday night Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert danced his way on to the set of NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to the tune of Daft Punk’s big hit “Get Lucky.” We’ll soon see if that cameo has anything to do with the French act’s reported appearance on The Colbert Report. At the moment, it isn’t known exactly when the robots will visit the show and whether they’ll sit for an interview, perform or both. We’ll be sure to update this post when the Daft Punk/Stephen Colbert summit is officially announced.

UPDATE: It’s official! Daft Punk will appear on Tuesday, August 6th’s episode of The Colbert Report as part of the ColbChella series.
